You work hard.
You put in a lot of effort to put out your books, to market your books.
Even if you aren’t having massive success compared to others in the industry…
And there’s always someone to compare yourself to who is doing better, that’s kind of the way it works.
But if you’ve just finished a project and you’re just about to jump right in to the next thing…
Pause for a moment.
Because chances are you need a break.
And it’s okay to take a couple of days off.
In fact after I record this video, I’m taking a wonderful full day date with my wife.
And it’s going be fantastic, like playing hooky during the week.
And those are the kind of things I’ve had to prioritize.
Because if I don’t force myself to take a break after finishing a big project…
I’m never going to do it.
So you need to make sure that you are giving yourself the creative, emotional, and spiritual rest.
Because if you don’t take that time, it’s going to wear on you.
It’s going to potentially lead to burnout.
And maybe it’ll prevent you from reaching the goals that you’re hoping to achieve as an author.
So please prioritize rest on a daily basis and especially after you finish a big project.
Give yourself the rest and recovery time you need…
And the break you deserve.
