I talk a lot about the anthology that I ran in 2016 and 2017 that did quite well on the back of Amazon ads.
And one of the reasons the anthology did so well is because it was just perfect for Kindle unlimited.
When you have a book, a collection, an anthology, or a box set that has a large number of pages inside, you are really well positioned to succeed on the back of Amazon ads.
Because if someone reads your entire book and you have a thousand Kindle pages, you’re making about $4.50 from that book.
And some people in an anthology might be scrolling through just to look at one particular story.
And so you’re getting credit for that without it being shady because it’s a real anthology.
It’s not just someone stuffing the back of a book. So you do get some benefit from that.
Also, when you have a box set, if you have 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 Kindle pages, you could get $4.50, $9, or as much as $13.50.
You can make some serious money off of people going through that entire book.
And we’ve seen this in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy community, where authors are publishing full series box sets and they’re pricing them at 99 cents.
They might only get 35 cents when someone buys it as a 99 cent book, but when someone reads it in Kindle unlimited, they get nearly 14 bucks.
And so these are just the perfect thing to have as a combination in Kindle Unlimited and on Amazon ads, because the opportunity for profit is through the roof.
