I think that sometimes we can get the wrong idea about what our marketing needs to look like.
We see a lot of really beautiful amazing websites, and then we think we need that website.
Or we see a beautiful landing page, and we need that.
Maybe you see the most amazing Facebook Ad image, or cover image that you’ve ever seen, and you think that you need to have everything perfect.
And of course you do not.
You do not need to be perfect on your first go-around.
Imagine a year from now, if you just pushed through and did the work, learning heaps, instead of planning everything and beautifying everything, and making it exactly right.
We’ve learned that on the writing side, that quantity leads to quality, and I think the same thing happens in our marketing.
There’s another old adage from Stephen King.
He says write crappy first drafts (he uses a different word!).
Well I think you should write crappy first drafts with your marketing as well.
At least put the content out in to the world. I’m sure that the first couple videos I put out in this series, were not as good as the ones that I’ve done lately.
But because I’m putting it out there, being willing to put out bad stuff, with the intention of learning how to do it, getting better over time, and eventually, succeeding just from doing the work.
Just do the work.
